. I am in hopes that “Encroachment” conveys a message of what civilization growth threatens. I acknowledge that growth is required for an ever-expanding population, but that ‘smart growth’ needs to be of utmost concern to planning committees and voters who have the power to contain ‘urban sprawl’ in an acceptable approach, while protecting these species who rely on our decisions. I hope “Encroachment” draws an emotional reaction that causes people to stop, think, protect and speak up for this delicate balance, which deserve to be here just as much as we do! The original painting traveled from Solvang, CA and hung in the Department of the Interior Museum in Washington, D.C. (November 1, 2008-February 28, 2009)

Together they raised, now, two grown children and are now grandparents. She finished her art education, which was started years ago, with her graduation at Bakersfield College in 2007 with an AA in Art. Many different forms of Art have always been part of her life.
